Relative Cost
How It Works
Specify your vCPU, RAM, number of instances, and storage needs. The calculator finds the best-fit instance type from each provider and computes the monthly cost.
Compute cost = hourly price × hours/month × number of instances.
Block storage is included for DigitalOcean, Hetzner, and Vultr. For AWS, Azure, GCP, Linode, and Oracle, storage is billed separately and not included in the total.
Use presets for common workloads or enter custom values. Switch between On-Demand, 1-Year Reserved, and 3-Year Reserved pricing models.
New accounts receive $300 in free credits to try any Vultr service for 30 days.
FAQ
How does the workload calculator match instance types?
The calculator finds the cheapest instance that meets your vCPU and RAM requirements from each provider. It filters tiers with at least the requested specs, then selects the most cost-effective option among the smallest adequate tiers.
Which cloud providers are compared?
All 8 providers: AWS EC2, Azure VMs, GCP Compute Engine, DigitalOcean Droplets, Hetzner Cloud, Linode, Oracle Cloud, and Vultr. Availability depends on the selected region.
Which providers include block storage pricing?
DigitalOcean, Hetzner, and Vultr include block storage costs. AWS, Azure, GCP, Linode, and Oracle show compute costs only — their storage pricing varies by product and is not included in the total.
